Exciting opportunity to work alongside the CEO and Festival Directors for two of Wellington's most iconic annual events - Cuba Dupa & Fringe Festival! Our client is looking for an ambitious and creative marketing manager who's able to create the strategy as well as excute it to maximise the potential of these two festivals to grow and diversify audiences, and deliver beyond expectations to their funders, sponsors and stakeholders
Full time fixed term Sept 2020 - Apr 2021
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
• Responsible for strategy, planning and implementation of all marketing for the events
• Develop and deliver sponsor marketing benefits and leveraging in consultation with the CE, Event Directors and sponsors
• Identifying promotional opportunities events, activations, competitions leading up to and during events
• Create content including copy for marketing material such as online newsletters, website and programme content and ad copy
• Delivery of comms-related and collateral including coordinating graphic design, audience development promotion, and media distribution
• Provide monthly update/reporting on progress
• Develop Digital Media strategy and plan with detailed schedules, key goals, targets and measures
• Manage Publicity, Social Media, Content Development and Delivery
• Website / App oversight and management
• Develop and define festival marketing budget in consultation with CE and Event Directors
• 8+ years Marketing experience
• Experience in developing strategic marketing plans
• Comfortable with both being strategic but also rolling up your sleeves and executing your plan
• Strong stakeholder management experience
• Events / Entertainment Industry experience preferred
• A love of fast paced environments and the ability to be agile and change as things change (as they might with COVID Levels & Events!)
